At Care the World, we provide information about birth and raising children overseas to families who are planning to move to foreign countries.

Families who are planning to move to foreign countries have very little ideas as to what to expect especially when it comes to giving birth and raising small children. Remember how frightening it was for you when you were planning the move to a foreign country with your small children?

Birth

Prenatal care : How did you go about in finding an obstetrician or a midwife? What was check ups like? How was life during pregnancy different from home? What kind of birth plans did you make? Were there any items you recommend to bring from your home country?

Birth: How was the delivery? How was your hospital stay like? What are some procedures your baby went through? How long was your hospital stay? What was the cost of delivery?

Afterbirth: How did you register birth? What kind of help did you get after you went home? How was the follow-up by the medical experts? Any rituals or customs related to birth or afterbirth of that country?

Medical: What do you need to be aware of in terms of preventing disease and illness? What were some unique treatments of that country?

Childcare: Did you find any difference in terms of raising children compared to your home country? How was the preschool of the country? What was the baby-sitting situation like? How easy or difficult was it to go out with babies? What did you like about raising children in that country?
